Port Townsend, Washington

Even though we didn't camp at Port Townsend (map), this charming little Victorian town deserves a page.

We drove a little off course to come here for lunch between campgrounds, and we easily could have spent the day exploring the town and enjoying the architecture, shops, and views.

We were glad we took some time to appreciate the town then, because when we came back two days later to catch the ferry to Whidbey Island, there was no time for strolling.
