Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming

Lower FallsSeptember 7-8, 2008

There's so much to see in Yellowstone, it's hard to believe we blew through it in a day, but we had a schedule to keep.

We camped at the Grant Village Campground on Yellowstone Lake. The next morning, it was very cold, but the sun was out and the day quickly warmed into a perfect fall day.

We drove the entire figure-eight drive, stopping to see Old Faithful, Mammoth Springs, hot springs, waterfalls, herds of wild buffalo and elk. We left the park at dusk, driving through a herd of around 100 buffalo on the road.
